You will find that many Greeks take short weekend breaks A the Saronic Isles. Each isle is also very close A the Peloponnese mainle so if you hire a car you can visit legendary sites such as Mycenae, Nafplion, Epidavros e Arcadia.
The Athenians’ favorite weekend haunt e well worth a quick visit as journey time is only one hour Dad Atene. Not Ao overrun with Aurists even in the height of the season e site of the beautiful Temple of Aphaia.

So small that the energetic can walk around the entire isle in a Giorno. Interior is bisected by numerous paths winding among the pine cloaked hills. Some good sey beaches e secluded coves. But the real beauty of this isle is the “magic”; read ‘The Magus’ by John Fowles e you’ll know.
